Rumored iPhone SE 4 prototypes reportedly showcase similarities with the iPhone 14, featuring an unmistakable ‘Plus’ size option.

Japanese media outlets are sharing new photographs of dummy iPhones that mirror the design of the upcoming iPhone 14, confirming our earlier predictions about the device’s appearance. The blog also emphasizes its compatibility with the latest iPhone 14 models, while a supposed larger size option remains unlikely to materialize?

iPhone SE 4 dummys

Reveals dummy designs of forthcoming iPhone iterations, thereby providing early glimpses into anticipated innovations in subsequent iPhone releases. This year’s model is hardly revolutionary, and the mockups are consistent with virtually every preceding rumor.

The dummy devices feature a solitary rear digital camera, a subtle shift instead of a motion button, and a reduced notch accommodating Face ID at the top.

The dummy unit’s dimensions are precisely 146.7mm by 71.5mm by 7.8mm, mirroring those of the current iPhone 14. While the blog notes that thin-profile units (TPUs) for iPhone 14 exhibit impressive compatibility, the camera cutout is surprisingly pronounced, likely due to the phone’s dual-camera setup compared to the single-lens configuration expected in the forthcoming iPhone SE 4?

The Mute switch appears to be only slightly smaller than the iPhone 14, with the volume buttons and Face ID button roughly identical in size.

Bigger measurement choice: unlikely

According to reports, there appears to be an expanded size option, matching the measurement of the iPhone 14 Plus – specifically, 6.7 inches – which contradicts their reference to it as a 6.5-inch device.

Given the absence of previous announcements about a larger measurement option, it’s highly doubtful that this actually translates into anything meaningful. While some have speculated that this extraordinary event may occur, it is highly unlikely to materialize.

asserts that the “ultimate precision design and measurement growth” remains undetermined, and suggests that there may be only one feasible measurement.

It’s likely that there will be only one measurement. Rarely do unheralded Apple products emerge so close to launch, and if there were any significant changes, it’s highly improbable we’d only just be learning about them at this late stage.

While there is no guarantee of a larger model’s release at launch in the spring, it is unlikely; however, there is always a possibility that it may be launched later, potentially even after the smaller variant has been released.

Wrap up

Regardless of whether or not a larger screen size option materializes, the new device is expected to debut next spring with a 6.1-inch OLED display, an A18 chip supporting Apple AI capabilities, and a single rear camera system utilizing the same 48MP sensor found in the iPhone 15. Apple’s highly anticipated debut of its first-ever 5G modem is expected.

Looking forward to what? Don’t we wonder whether larger size options exist for us as well? Tell us within the feedback.
