Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and husband to Serena Williams, is launching a documentary series about women’s professional soccer on X.

X CEO Linda Yaccarino sent a late Friday email announcing the launch of a novel “video tab” feature, akin to TikTok’s endless scrolling experience, according to a source at X. Additionally, she revealed an X-exclusive reality series, titled [insert title], starring soccer star Midge Purce and produced by investor Alexis Ohanian.

The latest announcement from Meta Platforms’ global marketing solutions group president, Carolyn W. Everson, comes on the heels of turmoil at New York’s office on Tuesday, amidst efforts by Yaccarino to retain advertisers and content creators – both crucial to the platform, but increasingly departing due to concerns surrounding its owner, Elon Musk.

Yaccarino noted that Purce and Ohanian arrived at the workplace to discuss further details about the impending premiere of —, set to take place soon. X has secured significant partnerships with influential creators such as MrBeast and renowned figures like CNN’s Don Lemon, solidifying its shift towards video content and challenging YouTube as a premier video-hosting platform.

Co-produced by actuality TV veteran Alex Baskin, known for his work on “Vanderpump Rules,” as well as Field to Field Movies, the studio behind the acclaimed documentary series “Drive to Survive,” and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

“The documentary series delves into the lives of 11 top national women’s league soccer players during their off-season, bringing them together under one roof in Miami for two weeks. This unique experiment provides an unfiltered look at their personal stories, interpersonal dynamics, and on-field experiences.”

The email from Yaccarino also stated that the platform will soon introduce novel content and advancements in security, including a forthcoming X TV App, which I am excited about.
