Apple TV+ Garners Golden Globe Recognition with Multiple Nominations

Apple announces that several of its original TV shows have received nominations for the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. The well-received anthology series Sluggish Horses has earned a nomination for Best Drama, while Disclaimer, a gripping psychological thriller miniseries headlined by the talented Cate Blanchett, vies for the coveted prize of Best Limited Series.

Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden, starring in Sluggish Horses, have received nominations for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama, while Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline of Disclaimer are up for acting honors for their work on the film’s limited series.

Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, stars of the critically acclaimed comedy series Shrinking, have earned nominations for outstanding comedic performances – Jason as a lead and Harrison in a supporting role. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who stars in the critically acclaimed series Presumed Innocent, has also earned a nomination for his outstanding performance as a leading man in a television drama.

The winners of the prestigious Golden Globes are poised to be announced on January 5, 2025. Apple has already garnered prestigious Golden Globe awards for Killers of the Flower Moon and Black Bird, while its original TV shows, movies, and documentaries have amassed an impressive total of 535 wins and 2,402 nominations across the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, and other esteemed award ceremonies.
