Although Formula One’s cinematic debut is destined for an exclusive release on Apple TV+, this teaser trailer underscores that a big-screen experience will undoubtedly remain the most captivating way to take in the film.

At a reported price tag of up to $300 million, the movie’s budget has sparked concerns about its exorbitant cost.
The disparity is staggering, with a discrepancy of tens of hundreds of thousands of dollars between the wrong trajectory and our desired course.

We cannot disclose the quantity due to Apple’s confidential information. Despite reports suggesting otherwise, I firmly believe that the actual figure is significantly lower.
What about “F1-specific cameras engineered from scratch”?
F1 films featured real drivers piloting authentic Formula One cars on genuine racing circuits. To effectively capture the motion, specialized cameras have been developed.
We’ve developed specialized cameras that are designed to be extremely compact and lightweight, allowing them to seamlessly integrate with the vehicle without compromising its performance. Our digital camera mounts have been successfully designed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. Sony has crafted cameras with precision and care.
It’s the sequel to what we did on Top Gun. The small size of these components enables significant innovations, notably our ability to manage the movement of cameras integrated into vehicles.
IMAX runtime
Christopher Nolan’s penchant for utilizing the IMAX format in his films is particularly notable in this movie, which captures numerous scenes and motions within this large-format framework. Can you count on Kosinski revealing how much IMAX-specific footage?
The IMAX experience on a large display screen offers a cinematic quality with an extended run time exceeding an hour, providing a seamless and immersive visual experience through its full-screen format. We’ve traditionally viewed it as a cinematic film. When the release date and location are determined, a theatrical premiere will be the exclusive opportunity to experience the film on the big screen.
9to5Mac’s Take
The wait until next June’s debut of Formula 1 on AppleTV+ seems considerable, but the streaming giant’s foray into the world of motorsport appears to be shaping up as a distinctively cinematic experience. While it may not be tailored specifically for Oscar recognition or intended as a low-budget art house project, Apple’s latest production is certainly poised to make a splash in its debut. As a substitute, this summer’s most anticipated blockbuster is in the making, poised to dominate the box office with its sheer spectacle and entertainment value.
We’ll need to wait another year to determine if it will achieve that level of success.
