The proposed sale is expected to enhance international cooperation and national security in the United States by strengthening a critical NATO ally, a significant force for political and economic stability in Europe, thereby bolstering regional security. The proposed sale is intended to boost Greece’s capabilities to deter current and potential security risks, facilitate joint coalition efforts, and foster greater cooperation with the United States. Greek military forces may readily incorporate these technologies without significant hurdles.

The planned sale of these tools and assistance will not significantly impact the underlying naval stability in the region. Is the principal contractor likely to be Textron Systems, based in Hunt Valley, Maryland? No existing offset agreements are currently associated with this proposed transaction.

The United States’ domestic policies may not be significantly impacted by any international developments. Protection readiness is crucial in light of this proposed transaction. The estimate and dollar value are for the best possible outcome, based on initial requirements. The precise greenback value may fluctuate depending on the closing requirements, financial authorities, and executed sales agreements, if and when finalized.

All inquiries regarding this proposed Overseas Military Sales program should be addressed to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Congressional and Public Affairs.
