Here’s a revised version of the title: “Wrapping Up: Latest from AWS”

After a two-decade tenure and a remarkable 3283 blog posts that have collectively featured over 1,577,106 phrases, it is with a sense of accomplishment that I am concluding my role as the lead blogger on the AWS Information Weblog.

It’s been an honour to have had the privilege of observing, learning from, and contributing to numerous advancements over the past two decades – just a few examples include progress in medical research, technological innovations, environmental initiatives, and social justice movements. It’s been an honor to connect with so many of you, listening intently as you’ve grown and learned from my content throughout the years. I cherish our conversations and the thought-provoking phrases you craft, and I store each one in my mind after we converse.

As a novice in the building trade, I embarked on my career as a builder. I’ve spent countless hours crafting numerous lines of code in various programming languages – including assembly languages such as 6502, Z80, and 68000, Visual Basic, PHP, and thousands of lines of C. Despite this, as time has passed, my focus has gradually shifted from constructing to discussing construction. As each new innovation whizzes past my gaze, memories of bygone eras resurface, allowing me to draw upon experiences from numerous years prior, enabling me to harness the power of these modern conveniences to craft something truly remarkable. As I transitioned from being a developer who occasionally marketed to a dedicated marketer with a foundation in development. There’s no inherent issue with what you’re looking to accomplish, but I wish to build upon. What drives my creative spark are the endless possibilities of mediums such as code, 3D printing, LEGO bricks, electronics components, and even humble cardboard, ultimately fueling my passion for crafting and inventing.

Harnessing my momentum, I’m driven to dedicate more time to learning, leveraging fewer tools, building innovative projects, and crafting fresh, developer-centric content as I advance in my AWS profession. Stay tuned as I continue to explore the possibilities and define the contours of this project. I’ll continue making weekly appearances on our Friday Twitch presentation, and I’ll be speaking at AWS community events globally.

The AWS Information Weblog has long been supported by a talented team, both visible and unseen. As we mark the blog’s momentous twentieth anniversary, we gather to commemorate this significant milestone.

I look forward to joining the team to commemorate our 30-year milestone at re:Invent 2034.

Moving forward, we’ll continue to craft and refine our content, steadfastly committed to delivering our clients high-caliber information on the latest and most impactful AWS innovations, carefully curated to meet their evolving needs. As we place our trust in capable hands, this dedicated team remains committed to keeping you abreast of developments, even as Amazon Web Services’ pace of innovation accelerates at lightning speed.

I am grateful for the kind words and expressions of appreciation at all times. At some point in their lives, people who have worked diligently and achieved good fortune may be given a rare opportunity to make a meaningful difference to others. And I’ve been fortunate.
