Realme has rolled out the initial firmware upgrade for its GT 7 Professional smartphone.

The company unveiled its new product in late November, a few weeks after its initial preview in China. The Indian edition of the model is about to receive its maiden software upgrade.

The software update, designated as RMX5011_15.0.0.140 (EX01), is a substantial download of approximately 838 megabytes that arrives wirelessly in program model form. The device now sports an updated Android security patch level of November 2024, a welcome improvement that still leaves some users wondering what took so long given our current position in December.

The update further refines Wi-Fi firmware for enhanced compatibility and stability, elevates fingerprint unlocking capabilities and success rates, and boosts battery life in specific scenarios. It also optimizes camera performance, addressing any issues, while resolving a recurring problem of unresponsiveness when tapping the Settings button within the YouTube app’s top-right corner.

Updates like these often arrive in batches, so if you own a Realme GT 7 Pro purchased from India and haven’t received the update notification yet, rest assured it’s on its way. The entire global supply could potentially be revamped within a mere few days.
