The President is respectfully urged to swiftly sign into law the Bipartisan Counter-UAS Authority Safety, Security, and Reauthorization Act, thereby ensuring the continued effective regulation of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS).

The Counter-UAS Authority Safety, Security, and Reauthorization Act of 2024 has cleared both the House and Senate, and is now awaiting the President’s signature.

 was presented to the House Homeland Security Committee in June 2024. This legislation aims to reauthorize and expand on the Stopping Rise of Terrorist Act of 2018, which was previously extended but faced another imminent expiration date? The latest continuing resolution funds both the federal government and these counter-drone initiatives through January 19, 2025. To effectively address the growing threat posed by drones, it is imperative that we have in place a legislative framework that reflects their rapidly changing nature and capabilities.
