Apple’s latest flagship smartphone, iPhone 17 Air, has started rolling off the production lines in a massive manufacturing push.

Since subsequent years, Apple has been rumored to shake things up in its smartphone lineup. The company is reportedly planning to replace the Plus model with a new variant that will feature only one rear camera.

The iPhone 17 Air has reportedly transitioned into the New Product Introduction (NPI) stage, according to credible supply chain sources.

Step one on the path to manufacturing involves a collaborative effort between Apple and its suppliers to assess the viability of the design and identify suitable manufacturing strategies necessary for assembling the product.

This is the iPhone 16 Plus that the iPhone 17 Air will be replacing

In order to ensure that their deliberate approaches to meeting are indeed sensible, Minor design tweaks might still take place at this point to harmonize with production capacities and pricing. A small-scale production line is set up to verify that the implementation aligns with the plan, incorporating the newly assigned NPI.

It’s still too soon to confirm the iPhone 17 Air’s existence, but production rumblings suggest Apple is abandoning the Plus variant for next year, making a distinct separation between its flagship models. Will airfares increase in terms of sales?
