Vivo is poised to introduce a fresh sub-brand in the coming year.

Chinese smartphone manufacturers frequently leverage sub-brands to target distinct segments of the market, as seen with the likes of Redmi, Poco, iQOO, and Realme. After conducting a thorough analysis, I discovered that vivo is reportedly working on its next sub-brand following the success of iQOO.

The Vivo model is known as Jovi, a nod to the company’s existing use of this name for its AI assistant and other software applications. Now, it seems that Jovi has the ability to grow up and transform into its own smartphone model?

vivo to launch a new sub-brand next year

The knowledge stems from information unearthed within the GSMA database, a GSM affiliation unrelated to our organization in any capacity. Three new vivo devices are on the horizon, all set to utilize the innovative Jovi AI technology.

We currently offer three variants: the Jovi V50 with model number V2427, the Jovi V50 Lite 5G with model number V2440, and the Jovi Y39 5G with model number V2444.

Interestingly, the Jovi V50 and its upcoming counterpart bear a striking similarity in their model numbers, a trait they also share with the Jovi V50 Lite 5G and its vivo equivalent. Jovic will reportedly make its market entry by rebranding existing devices with minimal updates, rather than introducing new products. We anticipate that these may be available under the Jovi title in select markets.

While mentioning these details, it’s essential to recall that plans are subject to change; until an official announcement is made, nothing is confirmed, even if the GSMA database is typically reliable. Vivo may yet reconsider launching a Jovi-branded smartphone series, as no such products have been officially announced to date.
