Business group FinTech Australia has announced the appointment of two new board members following its annual general meeting (AGM), with As timely Chief Compliance Officer Jodi Ross and Tractor Ventures’ CEO and co-founder Jodie Imam sign on to serve as administrators.
Chair Sarah Gorman noted that the candidates nominated for 2024 were exclusively female.
As Jodi and Jodie bring their distinct expertise to the Board, they collectively enrich the value we deliver to our members, whether by empowering them to unlock funding, supporting their individual growth journeys, or shaping our advocacy efforts in response to a sophisticated and ever-evolving regulatory landscape, she explained.
With over two decades of experience leading client empowerment through regulatory and expertise innovation, Ross excels as a frontrunner in lending, competition, regulatory frameworks, compliance, legislation, and risk management – having held senior positions at esteemed organizations such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and federal Treasury. With expertise in AI-driven lending technologies and familiarity with the Customer Information Protection regime,

Jodie Imam
The Imam was appointed by the Board in a formal ceremony with little fanfare. With over 20 years of expertise in entrepreneurship, venture capital, and various income-based financing models for tech-enabled companies, she has held senior roles at Tractor, a leading enterprise debt funder, as well as positions at SBE Australia, Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship, Startmate, and Innovation Bay.
FinTech Australia CEO Rehan D’Almeida noted that the board serves as the driving force behind the organization’s endeavors.
“Not only do they oversee our governance, but they also ensure we maintain our position as the most trusted and impartial voice in the fintech industry,” he said.
“I take pride in collaborating with Jodie and Jodi to elevate our organization’s impact, representing its members’ interests, and addressing key challenges facing the fintech industry.”
Ross and Imam are among the current board members.
