Investing in the long-term future is of utmost importance, particularly for today’s young people, whose success will shape tomorrow’s world – nothing is more vital than nurturing their growth and realizing their limitless potential. During a recent career guidance event at a leading college in Gurugram, India, Cisco, in collaboration with Capgemini, had the unique opportunity to engage with approximately 700 enthusiastic college students eager to shape their professional futures. Through guided mentorship and stimulating initiatives, our objective was to empower individuals to envision a more promising future, equipping them with the tools necessary for sustained success.
The impressive results of my leadership were particularly noteworthy due to the profitable giveback actions I successfully led through the esteemed Cisco Black Belt Academy, a premier program that offers comprehensive and scalable coaching to help our valued channel partners thrive. As a flagship program, Black Belt Academy plays a pivotal role in realizing Cisco’s ambitious goal of fostering community empowerment through innovative digital solutions. Building upon successful initiatives in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Australia, we have decided to replicate this model in India, a country that boasts the highest number of Black Belt certifications by FY 2024.
With the support of a leading education-focused non-governmental organization (NGO), our team identified college students ranging from ninth graders to post-graduates aged 19-25 at a government-aided institution in India. These educational facilities are financially supported by the federal government, thereby alleviating the financial burden on parents and providing access to education for children who would otherwise be unable to afford it. This endeavour to support authorities faculties stems from our commitment to social responsibility and collective betterment. We aim to equip underprivileged college students with the tools and resources necessary to achieve lasting transformative growth.
