One Future
This milestone isn’t just about reattempting. As we look to build upon our shared achievements. As Seattle prepares for its revitalized waterfront, we’re thrilled to unveil our gift to the Friends of Waterfront Park: vibrant, accessible, and sustainably designed public spaces that will foster a stronger connection between this beloved park and the city’s thriving community? Since Seattle’s Alaskan Way Viaduct was demolished in 2019, the city has been developing the park, which has since become a popular gathering spot for both locals and tourists seeking to explore the unique aspects of their city. This grant will support the development of programming, infrastructure, public safety, and maintenance initiatives in the park, creating a lasting physical legacy that will benefit the community for generations to come?
The region’s reputation for innovation has been long-standing, with Microsoft both capitalizing on this trend and playing a significant role in shaping it. Together with neighborhood partners at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, among others, we’re continuing to cultivate this initiative by collaborating to identify opportunities for our AI for Good Lab to harness the power of artificial intelligence and data science to generate innovative possibilities for collective growth in our community. As we move forward, we’re excited to share more details about these projects within the coming month, and we can’t wait to see how they’ll make a lasting impact on our property.
The support from the broader Puget Sound community has played a crucial role in shaping Microsoft’s history, and we are deeply grateful to the individuals and organizations that have been steadfast allies for almost five decades. Thanks.
We envision a shared future where Puget Sound becomes a beacon of resilience, inclusivity, and innovation, where everyone thrives and flourishes. While uncertainty surrounds the next decade’s developments, we’re eager to explore and shape the opportunities that lie ahead together.
