Savback Technologies welcomes Dufour Aerospace’s inaugural flight in Sweden, a significant milestone for the burgeoning drone industry.

This week saw a significant achievement for Dufour Aerospace, as they conducted a series of buyer demonstration flights and test runs on the Västervik airfield in Sweden. As a valued partner of Dufour, we at Savback collaborated with the esteemed Västervik Drone Science Park to proudly support this pioneering event. The event also saw the inaugural rollout of Dufour’s reorganized Operations Team in Sweden.

The demonstrations showcased Dufour’s AeroMini10, a compact validation platform within their pioneering tilt-wing aircraft family. Over a span of 12 successful autonomous missions, Dufour’s team demonstrated the impressive capabilities of their unmanned tilt-wing aircraft, highlighting its advanced in-house flight management system as a key differentiator. The assessments proved to be a resounding success, providing valuable operational insights in real-world scenarios beyond their home base in Switzerland.

While the AeroMini10 is Dufour’s most compact tilt-wing model, it remains a powerful tool for facilitating innovation and training pilots and operators effectively. Its design closely resembles that of the larger Aero2, enabling critical and significant flight operations to unfold seamlessly within a streamlined framework. While achieving Past Visible Line of Sight (BVLOS) capabilities, our flights during this marketing initiative operated within the pilots’ direct line of sight.

We’re delighted to have played a role in the successful inaugural flight of Dufour Aerospace’s unmanned aerial technology in Sweden, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration as they pioneer innovative solutions in this field.
