Apple Sports activates its platform for the upcoming football season.
Using the free app, fans can stay in sync with their favorite video games, leagues, conferences, and teams, receiving instant, real-time updates on their iPhone and Apple Watch lock screens through Live Actions.
The popular free app for iPhone, offering sports enthusiasts instant access to real-time scores, statistics, and more, has rolled out a fresh way for fans to stay informed about the ongoing NFL and college football seasons.
The latest NFL and school soccer game updates boast enhanced play-by-play commentary, granting users instant access to scoring drives through an immersive experience that mirrors actual game action. What’s more, our innovative drive tracker enables fans to track the ball’s precise location on the field in real-time, fostering an immersive experience like never before. With various leagues in Apple Sports, fans can easily follow their favorite teams to ensure that all the action is just a tap away. Now, fans can track the top 25 schools on a weekly basis, as well as their favorite teams and conferences. The mobile app will offer real-time scores, statistics, and live betting odds for every sport, similar to what users can find in other leagues within the app.1
Apple’s Sports app is set to revolutionize the way fans stay informed with the debut of Live Actions on iOS 18 and watchOS 11. For the first time, users can access real-time scores and play-by-play commentary for all teams and leagues available within the app directly from their iPhone and Apple Watch Lock Screens.2
Apple’s upcoming Sports+ app will debut in approximately 12 months, introducing a streamlined main scorecard view with a convenient drop-down navigation feature that enables seamless switching between My Leagues, My Teams, and users’ curated feeds for favorite leagues. A newly enhanced search feature allows fans of non-followed leagues to easily access match results.

Apple Sports+ users will soon gain access to a growing library of professional leagues, including the highly anticipated Champions League and Europa League, with the initial lineup set to debut in September.

The app’s intuitive design prioritizes speed and simplicity, featuring a personalized dashboard that prominently showcases users’ favorite leagues and teams, along with a user-friendly interface meticulously crafted in collaboration with Apple. Customers can personalize their scoreboards on Apple TV’s Sports app by tracking their favorite teams, tournaments, and leagues. With this app, fans can seamlessly browse scores, explore upcoming video games, access real-time play-by-play information and lineup details, and effortlessly jump to live game broadcasts on Apple TV or connected streaming apps by tapping a single button.3 Apple’s Sports feature will also intuitively synchronize with preferred teams or athletes selected in the My Sports section, mirroring this integration across the Apple TV app and Apple News. Available for download on the App Store in the U.S., U.K., and Canada is Apple Sports.
